A4&T Power Solutions Limited has marked another significant milestone in Nigeria’s rural electrification journey with the groundbreaking of four Solar Hybrid Mini-Grid projects in Madagali, Michika, Bazza, and Gombi Muchalla communities in Adamawa State.
The projects, with a combined capacity of 6.2MW, are being implemented in partnership with the Adamawa State Government and the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) as part of ongoing efforts to expand access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity across underserved communities.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Electrification Agency, Mr. Abba Aliyu, senior government officials, traditional rulers, development partners, community leaders, and other key stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of A4&T Power Solutions, Mr. Ayo Ademilua, described the projects as a major step in delivering the company’s long-term commitment to expanding energy access and powering economic growth in Adamawa State.
He noted that the projects represent the first phase of A4&T’s planned 20MW renewable energy investment in Adamawa State over the next five years, following the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the State Government in 2025.
“These projects are about much more than electricity. They are about creating opportunities for businesses to grow, improving healthcare and education, creating jobs, and unlocking the economic potential of communities. We are proud to begin another transformational investment that will contribute meaningfully to the development of Adamawa State.”
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Electrification Agency, Mr. Abba Aliyu, reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with credible private-sector developers to accelerate universal electricity access through sustainable renewable energy solutions.
In his address, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri commended the collaboration between the Adamawa State Government, REA, and A4&T Power Solutions, describing the projects as strategic investments that will improve livelihoods, stimulate economic activities, and support sustainable development across the beneficiary communities.
The Governor subsequently performed the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony, officially flagging off construction of the four Solar Hybrid Mini-Grid projects.
Once completed, the projects will provide reliable electricity to thousands of households, businesses, public institutions, and productive-use enterprises, strengthening local economies and improving the quality of life in the beneficiary communities.
